Spring 2026 Workshops
Ball Run Engineering Challenge for grades 3 - 8 (with Millersville University Engineering Students)
$12 per student
In this hands-on STEM workshop, students will participate in the Science Buddies Ball Run Engineering Challenge, a nationwide design challenge that introduces students to the engineering design process in a fun and engaging way. Participants will work in teams to design, build, test, and improve a track that carries a ball from start to finish using everyday materials.
With guidance from Millersville University engineering majors, this activity highlights real-world engineering concepts such as gravity, motion, energy transfer, slope, and structural stability. The challenge encourages creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking while giving students experience with iterative problem-solving.
This is a single, 2-hour workshop. Admission is included for students who are registered for this class.
